Ramdas Padhye’s most well-known and beloved puppet character “Ardhavatrao”, also known as “Mr. Crazy” turned 100 years of age in mid-2017. This character was originally created by his father Y.K.Padhye, who was a pioneer Indian Ventriloquist who started the art of Ventriloquism in India around 1916. “Ardhavatrao” or “Mr. Crazy” is probably the first “Puppet Character” in India which has turned 100 years of age and is still being actively performed by Ramdas Padhye across the globe. This was a historic event and a moment of achievement in the puppetry and ventriloquism world. To celebrate the centenary year of this puppet character, Ramdas Padhye planned a special show titled “Carry on Entertainment – Ramdas Padhye Live” to be staged across various parts of India and abroad so that audiences across the globe can witness this historic phenomena live, re-live the nostalgia and witness the magic of this puppet character once again.

To celebrate the centenary year of Ardhavatrao, Ramdas Padhye and his team performed “Carry on Entertainment – Ramdas Padhye Live” across 10 countries and represented their country INDIA at several Ventriloquism and Puppetry Festivals. They performed this show in World Puppetry Carnival in Sarawak, Malaysia in Oct 2017, 5th China Quanzhou International Puppetry Festival in Nov 2017, World Puppetry Carnival in Yekaterinburg, Russia in August 2018 and in Harmony Puppet Festival in Phuket, Thailand in Nov 2018

RAMDAS PADHYE Show is a specially created and regularly updated entertainment show presented by India’s leading Ventriloquist, Puppeteer and Puppet Maker Ramdas Padhye who has been performing for last 50 years in India and abroad.The show will feature some of his well known puppet characters which have entertained the audiences for past 4 decades. The highlight of this show will be Ramdas Padhye’s Ventriloquism and his ever hilarious characters. This show is unique presentation of ventriloquial & other puppets by Ramdas, his wife Aparna and son Satyajit.The ventriloquial puppets with their rib-tickling humor will entertain the audiences of all age groups.The other type of puppets, muppets and marionettes, are used with background musical score & presented in a different & offbeat manner. The show also includes Bunny the rabbit which shot to fame with his "Lijjad Papad AD" & other famous characters. The show will also include musical songs by Aparna, an accomplished singer with the help of specially compose musical track for the show.

Ramdas Padhye has given the traditional Indian Puppets and Ventriloquial dolls the technological edge by upgrading them to international standards without losing their Indian identity and universal appeal. Ramdas Padhye has performed more than 9700 shows in India and abroad and contributed for the spread of this art of ventriloquism and for its acceptance as an effective medium for the propagation of various social messages.
